Are The Latest Toy Craze, SillyBandz, Safe For Kids?

If you have a kid in elementary school, chances are that you’ve recently heard of SillyBandz, a collection of bracelets in bright colors that come in a variety of shapes. However, many parents are wondering whether these plastic toys are safe for their kids.

Sillybandz, which were originally released in late 2009 and have gained wide popularity recently, are elastic, silicone-based wrist ornaments that are worn by school kids and college students alike. Should you worry about your children and these products? According to safety authorities, as long as you use common sense, you should be fine.

The company recommends that children under three years of age should not use their product, as it could be a choking hazard, and many common sense parents are saying that they are not letting their children wear too many or wear them to bed. Other than that, you should feel free to let your child be as silly as they wish!
