Austin College Student Dies In Wrong Way Motorcycle Crash

According to Dallas News, 19-year-old Austin College Freshman Chase Gaddy was killed in a wrong way motorcycle accident last week. This week his funeral services will be held in Dallas, while students, faculty, and administrators at the college will also remember the teen on campus.

Gaddy, who was a member of the college’s swimming team and who had just competed at a regional conference, was driving west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 82 when he struck an oncoming vehicle and was killed. Police are unsure of why the teen was driving the wrong way on the highway but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. It is also not clear how long Gaddy had been riding motorcycles or how much experience he had driving motorbikes.
