Being on a motorcycle is thrilling, but it’s also dangerous. If you’re a good driver with good safety equipment, you‘re in the best position possible. Remember that big rig crashes oftentimes occur because the driver simply could not see the person alongside or behind their vehicle. This is not always the driver’s fault. The rule of thumb is to always keep the trucker’s mirrors in view. If you can see their mirrors, they can see you. If you cannot see their mirrors, the trucker has no idea where you are in relation to their vehicle, if they even know you’re there at all. Making sure that the trucker can always see you is literally a matter of life and death for motorcyclists.
