A couple in Corpus Christi has filed a
Texas medical malpractice lawsuit against their doctor as well as the office where he works after a botched vasectomy.
According to reports, Alejandro Santos went in for a vasectomy in 1998 from Dr. Roger Vitko of DBA Urologic Specialists Associates, P.A. Shortly after the
botched medical procedure, his wife, Martha Monica Santos, became pregnant and gave birth to a child. Despite a test that verified that the man was indeed infertile, his wife became pregnant again in 2001. The Santos couple is now suing all doctors involved in these botched procedures that resulted in two unplanned pregnancies.
The majority of failed vasectomies are caused by
doctor error. In some cases, the tubes severed in a vasectomy can reattach, causing the man to once again have the ability to have children. The success rate of vasectomies is very high and the procedure is considered a effective form of birth control.

This is a very active board, and I haven’t found one quite as interesting or informative on vasectomy. If you are considering a vasectomy reversal, or have already had one, you should swing by this message board and share your story.
