While the morning and evening rush hours may be the times of day with the most accidents, the overnight hours are often the deadliest on U.S. roads.  Early morning accidents that happen just before the morning rush hour can really be dangerous. Police are currently investigating the cause of a motorcycle and car accident that happened early morning on May 18, 2010 along Riverfront Boulevard in Dallas. All of the factors associated with nighttime and rush hour driving will be considered because the accident occurred at 5:45 a.m.

The motorcycle was driven by an off duty Dallas County Sherriff's Office employee who was driving to work.  The employee, whose name has not yet been released, collided with another vehicle.   The Sherriff's Office employee had significant injuries and was rushed to the hospital.  There is no word yet on the condition of those in the other vehicle or on who was responsible for this accident.
