An unidentified Dallas man in his mid-thirties was killed in a tow truck accident on the LBJ Freeway this week. The
TX truck accident took place on Wednesday morning, June 23.
According to Dallas news sources, a tow truck driver was parked near an onramp between the freeway and I-635 and had just finished helping a disabled motorist change a tire. A Honda drifted out of its lane and slammed into the back of the truck. The man driving the Honda was killed instantly, while the tow truck driver suffered minor injuries but refused medical assistance.
The
fatal Dallas truck accident is under investigation, though Texas Police are unsure of why the man drifted out of his lane. Each year,
hundreds of accidents occur in Texas in which cars on highways, interstates, and freeways leave their lanes and strike a person or vehicle on the shoulder of the road.
