Dallas Parkway Closed After SUV And Propane Tanker Truck Collide
A crash between an SUV and a propane tanker truck outside of Frisco, Texas, have caused the Dallas Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway to close lanes in both direction as HAZMAT crews work to safely remove the flammable gas from the roadway. The truck crash took place on Sunday morning near the Cotton Gin Road exit. The truck driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries while the driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash. When Frisco Fire HAZHAT examined the damaged tanker truck, they found that they could not move the propane tank safety to another truck bed and instead decided to disperse the 1,500 gallons of liquid propane into the air with the help of a large fan.
The Parkway is requiring northbound vehicles to exit at Stonebrook Parkway while southbound drivers must exit the roadway at Main Street.
