One person was killed and another was critically injured in a
TX tractor-trailer accident on the
LBJ Freeway just outside of the city. According to the Dallas News, 57-year-old Doris Satterfield of Dallas was pulling back onto the freeway after changing a flat tire on the shoulder of the road. A big rig traveling in the same direct did not see the slow-moving car and slammed into the rear of the vehicle.
Satterfield died at the scene of the
fatal Dallas truck accident while her husband was critically injured and transferred to Parkland Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The couple’s son, who had helped with the flat tire and who was driving a Jeep Cherokee was also struck during the big rig accident and suffered minor injuries.
The truck’s driver told Dallas Police that he did not see the car in time to stop and did not realize it was moving so slowly. Police do not expect to press charges in regards to the
TX 18-wheeler crash.
