Following the collapse of a practice structure last year, two
severely injured Dallas Cowboy employees have successfully sued the maker of the structure. Now, a former Dallas Cowboy player is planning on suing both the builder and the football team for the injuries he sustained in the Texas accident.
Tight end Jamar Hunt had a steel support fall on him during the collapse, causing him back and neck injuries that he says ruined his professional football career. The rookie free agent was cut from the Cowboys and was not picked up by another team after his
accident injuries. Hunt played for Texas-El Paso and was present at the rookie minicamp in 2009 when the tent-like structure collapsed under high winds. An investigation revealed that the structure was not sound and should have easily withstood the windstorm. The company that built the structure has faced multiple lawsuit in the past for their poor engineering.
