An illegal drag race is being blamed on the death of a Fort Worth man who died at the scene of a
serious Texas car accident on Tuesday, February 9. According to Forth Worth Police, two red Chevrolet Avalanches were speeding side-by-side traveling east on Bolt St. When the road came to an end at the intersection of I-35 service road, one of the two trucks lost control and slammed into a stop sign and then into a retaining wall.
According to reports, 20-year-old Carlos Jimenez-Cano was riding in the passenger seat of the truck that crashed and died at the scene of the
Fort Worth truck crash. The driver of the truck was critically injured and rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital.
The other truck that was engaged in the street racing incident sped from the scene of the TX truck accident, clipping another car as it sped away. Police say that the
TX pickup truck accident, which occurred just before 11 pm, involved alcohol and drunk driving.
