Harris County Woman Sues After Store Slip and Fall Accident

A Texas woman has filed a slip and fall lawsuit in Harris County after she says she fell and was seriously injured in a Kirkland, Texas, store. In the premises liability lawsuit against the store, the personal injury victim is seeking damages as well as attorney’s fees and court costs.

According to the premises liability lawsuit filed in Harris County, Rosa Torres was showing for a housewarming gift for her son at the Kirkland’s Store two years ago when she slipped and fell, sustaining an unspecified injury. The slip and fall suit states that the injury could have been prevented if not for the gross negligence of the store owners, who did not protect their customers from both uneven flooring and dangerous carpet placement.

It is unclear how long the floor had been in its hazardous state or whether or not the owner or operator of the property was aware of the dangers of the uneven flooring and carpeting.
