A woman carrying two passengers sped down the wrong side of Interstate 30 near Dallas this week, causing a
fatal wrong way interstate crash that also seriously injured two people.
The woman, who was driving a Ford F150 at around five in the morning on Sunday, June 20, struck an oncoming Chevy Tahoe. One passenger in the Ford truck, 25-year-old Ana Tello of Mesquite, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while the other two truck occupants were rushed to a nearby hospital, Baylor, in serious condition. The driver of the Chevy Tahoe was treated for his
car accident injuries, but was not seriously hurt.
The Dallas Sheriff’s Department closed I-30 for several hours while they investigated the Texas wrong way crash. It is unclear why the woman was driving on the wrong side of the interstate or whether speed or alcohol were involved in the
deadly car wreck.
