Pregnant Singer Jewel Involved In Texas Car Accident With Fire Truck

Pop star Jewel suffered minor injuries in a car accident involving a volunteer fire truck in Stephenville, Texas, this week. The 36-year-old singer, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Ty Murray, collided with the truck at a rural intersection.

She was taken to a hospital and saw her own doctor, who said that both she and her unborn baby were not seriously harmed in the car accident. Jewel herself told fans on Twitter that although she was feeling sore and “banged up” the day after the collision, she was thankful that she and her child escaped any real injury. In fact, she wrote that her vehicle, a Cadillac SRX, played a part in saving her and her baby’s lives. 

It is not clear who was at fault for the Texas truck accident, which occurred on Friday and which is still under investigation by local authorities.
