Pregnant Woman Loses Baby In Dallas Distracted Driving Accident

A tragic Dallas car accident resulted in a miscarriage for the driver of one of the vehicles. Dallas Police say that the accident, which took place on Wednesday morning, January 26, at around 9:15 AM, may have been caused by distracted driving.

According to Dallas News, a 24-year-old pregnant woman was driving on Walnut Hill Lane when a 69-year-old man rear-ended the car in front of him. Police think that the man failed to stop with traffic because he was distracted in the seconds before the accident took place. While the driver has not been cited or charged for distracted driver, police say charges could be in his future.

The woman was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where she lost her baby. Doctors say that the baby died from blunt force trauma, possibly when the women’s abdomen struck the steering wheel during the car crash.
