Texas Day Care Owner Investigated For Drugging Kids, Physical Abuse
Kimberly Lane, the owner and director of Luv N Learning Child Development Center in Van Alstyne, Texas, is under investigation by other Van Alstyne Police and by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services after daycare abuse allegations.According to local news sources, an employee at the Texas day care center alerted authorities after she states she saw Lane crush up antihistamines and place them in the children’s milk before nap time so that they would be sedated. According to day care abuse experts, drugging the children could be dangerous and even deadly, especially for babies and children on other medications.
In addition, authorities say that there are other allegations against Lane regarding the general treatment of the children. She allegedly slapped children in the face, turned down the air conditioner if children misbehaved, or took away the blankets of kids who didn’t follow the rules.
Currently no charges have been filed against Lane and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has not yet taken away the woman’s day care license.
This shocking story of alleged daycare abuse shows that no all Texas daycare abuse incidents simply involve hitting children – dangerous daycare workers could also be harming children with medication or inhumane punishments.
