Travis County Woman Files Personal Injury Lawsuit After Deck Collapse
A Texas woman has filed a personal injury lawsuit regarding the injury she received in a balcony collapse outside of Austin in August. The Travis County woman, Christina Anne Whittaker, is suing both the owner of the condo were the fall accident occurred and the person who threw the late-night party, brothers Calvin and Victor Wong. In addition the fall accident lawsuit also names the Garden Place Condominium Association, Leslie Peter Filip, and design firm enDesignThe balcony collapse occurred when the 400-square-foot second-floor deck was being used for a party – 26 people were injured, including Victor Wong, sending more people to the hospital with injuries than any event since Hurricane Rita. The balcony was not built with a permit. Whittaker suffered a severe ankle injury that required surgery as well as emotional trauma.
Victor Wong is a notable Austin DJ.
