What is Erbs palsy?
A: Erb’s palsy, also known as brachial palsy, is a condition that patients suffer when their brachial plexus nerves are damaged. When injured, these nerves, located in the shoulder, can cause weakness and limited mobility in the arm and hand. Erb’s palsy almost always takes place when a newborn suffers from a difficult birth in which its arm or head is treated with excessive force.
