Even the best winter drivers face a heightened risk of being involved in a Dallas car accident in poor conditions. Intersections

Intersections are deadly in winter weather. As you approach them, watch out for people behind you who aren’t slowing enough. This is one of the most frightening situations possible. The driver behind you, if the roads are slippery, may slide into your car or may push you out into the intersection, causing an even worse accident. What’s ahead of you on the road is important, but what’s behind you merits attention, as well. Be on the lookout for cross traffic sliding through red lights, as well.

When cars group up and travel together, the all endanger one another. Stay away from groupings of cars. If the cars behind you are pushing you to speed up and keep up with the pack, let them pass, if possible. You need extra braking distance in winter conditions.
