We are excited to announce our participation in and sponsorship of the Walk like MADD charity events to be held in Fort Worth and Dallas!
These fun and exciting events will not only bring much needed awareness to the dangers of drunk driving, but also raise vital funds for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
We want to raise as much money as we can and to do that we will need YOUR help! We are need your support as we walk in memory of Sonia Baker and the countless other victims of drunk driving accidents and their families. We are also walking in support of a former client and tireless advocate of drunk driving awareness, Jim Bar.

While We Walk
In Support of Jim Bar
Rasansky Law Firm will be walking in support of Jim Bar, a former drunk driving victim and client and tirless advocate for drunk driving awareness.
His story
Jim Bar was hit and almost lost his life due to a drunk driver on December 2, 2004. What made this case even worse was the fact that the young man who crashed into Jim had already been charged with a DWI in the past. For those who understand the numbers behind drunk driving in America, this isn't a surprise. In fact, those charged with DWI have driven drunk 87 times before their first offense.
In his closing statements during trial, Jeff spoke about his long time friend Jim and about how personal and emotional the case had been for him. Jim spoke of how it happened in his backyard and could very well of happened to any of his friends, neighbors and family members. The trial was more than an emotional win for Jim and his family; it was also a chance for Jim and his family to begin the healing process and bring to light the dangers of drunken driving in a public forum.
Since that tragic day in 2004, Jim Bar has devoted his time and effort to bringing awareness to the dangerous and destructive effects of driving under the influence. In the process, his testimony and efforts have touched countless others, including his friend, Jeff Rasansky.
In Memory of Sonia Baker
Her story -
On December 11, 2009, Sonia left her home to buy breakfast for her family before she left for work at 4 am. Her husband, Mario Baker, became concerned when she didn't return and went looking for her. Tragically, Mario found what was left of his young wife's car and soon learned she had been killed by an intoxicated off-duty Fort Worth police officer. Click here to learn more.
