In many cases, it can be difficult to prove that TX daycare abuse is taking place. At the same time, because small children are involved and witnesses are rare, it can be easy for those seeking revenge to falsely accuse a person or company of daycare abuse.
This week in Hutto, Texas, a daycare center director was accused of daycare abuse – but some believe that the accusations are simply an attempt to close the daycare center for other reasons.
Texas took precautions and shut the Hippo Academy, owned by 31-year-old Jeannie Alcalar, for at least 30 days as the investigation takes place. The daycare’s license has been revoked. Alcalar and her husband have left the area at the suggestion of their attorney. The daycare cared for 22 children.
The Texas court says that the daycare has been accused of covering a baby’s mouth with cloth, slapping children, putting pepper on a baby’s thumb, feeding children hot sauce, and allowing children to eat food off of the floor. However, although those accusing of the daycare abuse claim to have a tape of the incidents will not show the tape or provide any other physical evidence.
At the same time, some believe that the daycare abuse allegations were revenge by several employees who were going to be fired. In fact, it has been confirmed that the employees did call Child Protective Services and then told parents of the daycare abuse. The one parent contacted said that she doesn’t know what to believe, though she has had some suspicion in the past.
