Dallas Woman Killed By Monster Truck In Strip Club Parking Lot
Posted on Mar 28, 2011
A Dallas woman was killed last weekend in the parking lot of a local strip club and night club when a man driving a monster truck ran over the pedestrian while pulling out of his parking spot. The fatal Texas pedestrian accident took place at the Spearmint Rhino Gentlemen's Club in Dallas.
According to the Dallas Morning News, 27-year-old Eric Crutchfield has been arrested by police and charged with manslaughter, drinking and driving, and driving with a suspended license. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Kasey McKenzie, who was passing through the parking lot, was run over by the monster truck’s two front tires and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Crutchfield has told police that he must have put the car into gear and rolled forward out of his parking space just as the woman was crossing his path. He said that he did not know that his vehicle, which had three-foot-high wheels, had struck anything and that others in the parking lot let him know that he had struck a pedestrian. Police say that the man probably couldn’t see the girl cross in front of him because the cab was so high, and possibly because he was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
McKenzie was a recent graduate of the University of North Texas. Relatives told reporters that she was not employed by the strip club.
