Five Teens Involved In Fatal Paris, Texas, Car Accident

One young man was killed and four others were injured in a fatal one-car accident in Blossom, Texas this week. The deadly car wreck took place on July 23 at approximately 1:30 in the morning, when police say the driver of the vehicle lost control and drove off the road. The car rolled several times before coming to a stop, and all five passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
According to local news sources, 20-year-old Wade Witmer of Clarksville was killed in the car accident and pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty-year-old Dylan Ballard of Paris, Texas, was airlifted by emergency responders to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he remains in serious condition and in a medically induced coma due to head trauma. Another passenger, Joshua Clark of Powderly, was also flown by helicopter, though to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Keefer Winn of Paris was airlifted Medical City in Plano, also in serious condition and with multiple bone fractures.
A fifth passenger, 23-year-old Justin Wright of Paris, suffered minor injuries but did not go to the hospital for treatment until the following day. Police believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
