Around 5:30 a.m. on March 26th a tractor- trailer collided head-on with a van in Munfordville, Kentucky killing 11 people. The tractor-trailer was heading south on I-65 when it crossed the median and hit the passenger van causing a flaming wreck.
The van was a Mennonite church vehicle, heading to a wedding, with passengers of varying ages. The driver of the tractor-trailer, transporting automobile wheel castings, was killed along with many of passengers in the van.
