Posted on Sep 23, 2011
Only one teen was able to crawl out of a flipped, burning BMW that crashed in Arlington, Texas, this week - the three other teens trapped inside died in a tragic crash that has affected many in the community.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the fatal Texas car accident took place early on Sunday morning. The four teens were driving on Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington when the driver of the car, 19-year-old Jonathan Lavering, lost control of the vehicle, struck the right shoulder of a curve, crossed in front of several oncoming vehicles, and veered off the left side of the road. The car then struck a power box and a cell phone tower before flipping and coming to a rest.
One teen - 19-year-old Kaven Dang - was able to get to safety; however, the other three - Lavering, 18-year-old Colton Goodman and 17-year-old Jacob Ramos - remained in the car as it burst into flames. All three were rushed to the hospital after police, fire, and ambulance personnel arrived, but soon died of their injuries.
Arlington Police are investigating the cause of the deadly crash, which could have involved high speeds.
The Dallas accident attorneys at Rasansky Law Firm offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the boys who were killed in this tragic accident.
