Two Killed in Royse City Big Rig Accident on I-30 Outside of Dallas

Posted on Sep 16, 2011

A Dallas couple was killed in a one-truck accident on I-30 near Royse City, Texas on Sunday. The crash occurred near the Epps Road exit in the eastbound lanes.

According to the Royse City Herald-Banner, 56-year-old truck driver Joseph Micciche and his wife, 52-year-old Anne Micciche, were traveling from Dallas toward Royse city on I-30 when the trucker lost control of the 18-wheeler and veered into the Sabine Creek embankment. An initial investigation has revealed that the truck was traveling east on Interstate 30 when it struck a cable barrier in the highway's median and then veered into the creek bed. The couple was driving a Freightliner that was towing a utility trailer loaded with generators.

No one witnessed the Texas truck accident and the wreckage was well-hidden between the I-30 bridges as it crosses the creek. No one saw or reported the accident until another truck driver noticed damage to the cable barrier and then spotted the tractor-trailer in the creek bed below. Authorities are unsure of when the big rig accident took place, only that the couple stopped for gas in Dallas just before 3 a.m. on Sunday.

The Dallas accident attorneys at Rasansky Law Firm send our deepest condolences to the friends and family members of the two truck accident victims.
