Posted on Oct 30, 2011
Two Mansfield Timberview High School students were killed in a speed-related, one-car accident in Grand Prairie this weekend while two other students were seriously injured.
According to the Mansfield News-Mirror, four students were driving in a luxury sedan on Texas 360 when the teen driver of the car attempted to pass a vehicle while going a dangerous speed. The driver lost control of the car, which spun into the median of the highway and struck a tree.
One passenger, 15-year-old Carolos Marquez Junior of Arlington, died at the scene of the Texas car accident. The driver of the vehicle, 17-year-old Kimberly Pimentel of Grand Prairie, was rushed to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in critical condition after the wreck and died of her injuries on Monday evening.
Two other passengers, 15-year-old Flordeluna Flores of Grand Prairie and 16-year-old Isaiah Rodriguez of Arlington, were seriously injured in the crash. Flores is in stable condition at Methodist Dallas Medical Center while Rodriguez is in critical condition at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
An investigation into the deadly teen car accident is underway by police. Fortunately, initial evidence shows that alcohol was most likely not a factor in the Saturday night crash.
The accident attorneys at Rasansky Law Firm send their thoughts and prayers to those involved in the crash, as well as their friends, classmates, and families.
