Oilfield accidents have happened in oil & gas fields throughout the United States far too often and usually go unreported. Today, the oil & gas well drilling activity in the United States is exploding and the numbers of oilfield accidents and oil field related injuries & deaths are rising at an alarming rate.
Oilfield workers often must work long hours without adequate rest, forced to take unsafe, unnecessary chances, often must ignore safety standards in order to keep the drilling rig operating at as fast as possible. Another problem is the hiring of inexperienced workers that have not been properly trained who subject even the most experienced workers to dangerous conditions.
