Social Security Benefits
The amount of Social Security Disability Benefits one can receive depends on several different factors including the following:
- How much income you earned while you worked;
- The amount of your contributions to the Social Security system during the period of time you worked;
- The amount of workers' compensation, if any, you are receiving.
Social security disability payments do not begin until the first full month after the five month waiting period after the date the There is a five (5) month waiting period before social security disability benefits begin.

Social Security Application Process
To apply for Social Security Disability Benefits you can go to your local Social Security Office or call the regional Social Security office at 800-772-1213.

The Administrative Law Judge can take several months or longer before issuing a decision in your case.
