The fatal accident was reported on US-84 near Farm to Market Road 168 at around 2 a.m. in Hockley County. It was revealed that a 2023 Kenworth towing a 2014 Walker semi-truck was involved in a crash with a 2012 Ford 150 pickup truck.
The 23-year-old Littlefield man driving the pickup was transported to Lamb Healthcare Center, where he was later pronounced dead. A 26-year-old Littlefield traveling as a passenger in the truck sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 53-year-old Lubbock woman driving the rig was transported to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment. No additional information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
