Corrigan, TX – Micah McAfoose Killed in Truck Crash on US-59

Corrigan, TX (January 23, 2023) – An 18-year-old has died following a truck crash that took place on Friday afternoon in Corrigan, Texas. On January 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety was called to a crash on US Highway 59.

Reports from DPS indicate that at around 130 p.m., 18-year-old Micah Alan McAfoose was driving a 2007 Nissan versa south along US Highway 59. For reasons unknown, an 18-wheeler made a left turn from plant Road onto the northbound side of US Highway 59. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

The Nissan became pinned under the trailer of the semi-truck.

McAfoose was fatally hurt as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle was critically injured. The victim was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.

The Corrigan Police Department is investigating the accident.
