A 2024 Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by Terry Lee Rose was traveling southbound when the driver failed to yield to Jewett as he was making a left turn. This resulted in a serious collision. Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to render immediate aid. 

Despite life-saving measures. Jewett sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported at this time. Eastland, TX (March 1, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash in the Eastland area on Thursday, February 29, resulted in the death of a Minnesota man. The fatal accident was reported on County Road 237 at around 4:58 p.m. Local sources indicated that 71-year-old Mark Allen Jewett from Waseca, MN was riding a 1985 Honda VT-700 motorcycle when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
