Goldsmith, TX - Driver Killed, Passenger Hurt in Crash with Semi at TX-158 & FM 1936

Goldsmith, TX (May 16, 2023) - An Andrews man was killed and his passenger injured after a crash involving a semi-truck in Goldsmith on Sunday, May 14. 

The accident was reported at the intersection of TX-158 and Farm to Market Road 1936 at around 11:01 p.m. It was revealed that a 34-year-old man from Andrews was driving when he failed to stop for a stop sign. He collided with a semi-truck and was ejected from the vehicle. 

The driver sustained fatal injuries in the accident. His passenger, a 28-year-old woman from Andrews, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
