It was later reported that the driver of the Chrysler, later identified as Marcus Harper, was traveling westbound on the highway when he collided when he veered into eastbound traffic for unknown reasons. Harper crashed into a truck-mounted forklift before colliding with the left side of the Great Dane trailer. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. Harper suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the Volvo truck tractor, Omar Quintos Garcia, was not hurt in the crash. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

Houston, TX (April 16, 2024) – One person was killed after a crash involving a commercial truck in the Houston area on Saturday, April 13. The fatal accident was reported at the 11600 block of TX-249 early that morning around 2:50 a.m. Local reports revealed that a blue Chrysler 200 collided with a 2000 Volvo truck tractor hauling a 2001 Great Dane trailer.
