Deadly High-speed Crashes in Texas
Deadly car crashes are a daily occurrence in Texas, and many of these accidents involve speeding drives. Across the country, high-speed crashes contribute to more than one-fourth of reported traffic deaths on average. Texas drivers are known to engage in this reckless behavior at a high rate. In 2021, nearly 34 percent of the state’s collisions involved speeding drivers. These accidents resulted in 6,493 serious injuries and 1,532 fatalities in total. When you speed, you are much more likely to lose control of your car, and this alone makes it difficult to avoid a serious crash when on the road. You do not want to be held responsible for the injuries and damages resulting from a serious crash if you are not at fault.
