The 50-year-old Dallas woman driving the van was transported to a hospital in Dallas in critical condition. The victim was transporting several cats, and three of them were reportedly also hurt. The Dallas woman later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The drivers of the other two vehicles were also hurt and transported to local hospitals for treatment. No additional information on the deadly crash is available at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
