It was later revealed that 42-year-old Laura Archuleta was traveling northbound when they entered southbound traffic and crashed into a GMC Sierra driven by 22-year-old Juan Lopez. Archuleta suffered serious injuries and was flown to UMC in Lubbock for treatment. Both Lopez and his passenger, 40-year-old Luiz Zamora, were killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
