It was later revealed that a white vehicle was headed westbound on Culebra as it attempted to make a left turn onto Rogers. It collided with a black eastbound vehicle. The woman driving the white vehicle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the black car was also injured and transported to University Hospital for treatment. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, but none of the occupants were injured. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
Deadly Head-on Collisions in Texas
Although any type of collision has the potential to be fatal, a large percentage of the nation’s yearly fatal auto accidents involve head-on collisions. Head-on collisions make up fewer than 2 percent of all reported crashes in the nation, but they still account for over 10 percent of traffic fatalities. The impact force is tremendous when two automobiles traveling in opposing directions collide. These crashes can occur when cars swerve into oncoming traffic or lose control on poorly maintained roads. Head-on crashes can, in any case, cause significant injuries, and it is imperative that you consult with a knowledgeable lawyer to make sure your legal rights are protected and that you can pursue justice for your family.
