Local reports revealed that an 18-wheeler was headed westbound when it veered to avoid a crash on the roadway. The vehicle jumped the median where it hit a woman head-on. The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Several other people were hurt in the crash, but no updates on their conditions have been provided at this time.
