Moody, TX – Shawn Carter Killed in Truck Crash on FM 107

Moody, TX (September 3, 2020) – A crash in the Moody area claimed one man’s life and left a child critically injured on Tuesday evening. At approximately 6:15 p.m., on September 1, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a collision on Farm to Market Road 107.

According to reports, 21-year-old Shawn Carter was driving a Ford Mustang on Blue Cut Road when it collided with a semi-truck at the intersection with Farm to Market Road 107. The impact of the crash caused the Mustang to roll over.

Carter sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. His passenger, a 5-year-old child, was rushed to Baylor Scott and White McLane Children’s Hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

At this time, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
