At around 11 p.m., on April 26, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on South US Highway 183.
Reports indicate that 20-year-old Edgar Ortega Robledo was traveling east along McKenzie Road in a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta when his vehicle collided with a 2016 Toyota Sienna at the intersection of US Highway 183.
The impact of the collision forced the Sienna off the roadway as the Volkswagen came to rest in the center of the intersection. The Volkswagen was subsequently struck by a second vehicle.
Unfortunately, Robledo sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
A second victim who was seriously injured was rushed to South Austin Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
