Austin, TX (February 16, 2020) – At around 7:15 p.m., on February 14, the Austin-Travis County EMS and police responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of Ben White Boulevard. Reports indicate that a male in a wheelchair was attempting to cross the eastbound service road, near South Congress Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle.

The man suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, police are investigating. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
