According to reports provided by the police, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 39-year-old Joshua Lee Ortiz was traveling in the 2900 block of West Texas State Highway 21. At the same time, the driver of a Dodge Ram truck made a left turn into a private driveway. During the turn, the Ram struck the motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown from his vehicle.
Ortiz suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency crews pronounced the man deceased at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.
At this time, investigations are underway with the Bryan Police Department.
