Dallas, TX (March 16, 2020) – A person has died and a second victim was left seriously injured after a scooter accident on Saturday evening. At around 8 p.m., on March 14, emergency crews in Dallas responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 2600 block of Matilda Street.
Reports indicate that a 28-year-old male and a 25-year-old female were riding on a scooter when they were struck by a black GMC SUV.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene without stopping to render aid, leaving the two victims in the roadway.
Both victims were rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the male victim passed away from his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
