6.21 UPDATE: Georgetown, TX – Jose Rodriguez Jr Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-35

Dallas, TX (March 16, 2020) – A devastating auto accident early Sunday claimed one victim’s life.

At around 6 a.m., on March 15, 38-year-old Justin Williams was traveling north along Peavy Road when he became lost. He looked down at his phone for directions and drifted across the center median and into the southbound lane.

Unfortunately, Williams’ vehicle collided with a Chevy Tahoe head-on in the 2300 block of the roadway. The driver of the Chevy, who was identified as 20-year-old Alexis Ortiz was critically injured.

Ortiz was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Williams was arrested for outstanding warrants and is facing charges for manslaughter related to this accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
