5.4 Denison, TX – Injuries Reported in Accident on Morton St

El Paso, TX (April 14, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on Sunday sadly claimed one man’s life. On April 12, just after midnight, police in El Paso were called to the scene of a devastating auto accident.

Reports from the El Paso Police Department indicate that 31-year-old Manuel Marquez was traveling through the 7700 block of Gateway Boulevard East when he struck a male pedestrian in the roadway.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as 25-Year-Old Nathan Jaime.

Marquez remained at the scene and cooperated with police. EPD’s Traffic Investigation Unit is currently investigating the collision.
