Fort Worth, TX (March 7, 2020) – An early morning house fire sent two victims to area hospitals with injuries on Thursday.
At around 1 a.m., on March 5, the Fort Worth Fire Department was called to a fire incident in the 4100 block of Alava Drive. Reports from FWFD state that crews arrived at the scene to find a single-story home engulfed in flames. The rear of the home was burning viciously as an elderly couple was trapped inside.
Although both victims made it out of the home, they suffered smoke inhalation injuries and were rushed to area hospitals for treatment.
Sadly, the couple’s dog did not make it out of the fire.
The incident remains under investigation.
