Houston, TX (November 22, 2020) – An accident in the Houston area claimed the life of one person while leaving two officers with the Houston Police Department injured. On November 21, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of an officer-involved collision.
Reports show that at around 3:35 p.m., an HPD cruiser occupied by two officers was traveling west on Ley Road while responding to a call regarding a disturbance in the area. As the cruiser passed through the intersection with Darien Street, it collided with a Cadillac.
The driver of the Cadillac was severely injured in the collision. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The two officers were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
