Houston, TX – Fatal Injuries Sustained in Fire on W Montgomery Ave

Houston, TX (February 6, 2020) – An apartment fire on Wednesday claimed one victim’s life.

On February 5, authorities were called to the scene of a major fire incident in the Garden City Apartments. Reports indicate that a fire broke out in the apartment complex, located on West Montgomery Drive.

As crews battled the blaze, they were able to enter through an unlocked door on one of the apartments. Once inside, they located a female victim, between 65 and 70-years-old with extensive burn injuries. Unfortunately, the extent of injuries was too severe. The victim succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
