Houston, TX (May 7, 2020) – At around 10 p.m., on May 3, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 5900 block of Scott Street.
Reports from police show that 68-year-old James D Anderson was traveling north along Scott Street, in a gold Volvo S-60, when he struck a 59-year-old pedestrian walking along the side of the road.
The woman was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. Authorities confirmed that the woman succumbed to her injuries on May 4.
Anderson was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. At this time, the Houston Police Department is investigating.
