5.20 Elsa, TX – Injuries Reported in Crash on Zavala St

Houston, TX (March 17, 2020) – A woman sadly lost her life in a pedestrian accident late Sunday evening, according to reports. At around 9:45 p.m., on March 15, a female pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway on Westheimer Road.

As the female entered into the roadway, at the intersection with West Houston Center, she was fatally struck by a Mazda CX-5. The woman was rushed to an area hospital where she was declared deceased.

The driver of the Mazda called for emergency assistance before leaving the scene of the accident. He later returned and was apprehended by police.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
